Samuel L. Estenson
Samuel L. Estenson is a creative and efficient problem solver and
litigator who represents people and businesses in all manner of litigation.
Sam prides himself on his dual abilities to help reach sensible prelitigation
solutions when warranted and to vigorously fight for his clients every step of
the way in court. Sam’s success resolving business and property disputes,
advising small businesses, and protecting the employment rights and civil
rights of his clients has led him to be named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star”
for 2021. He is licensed to practice law in Michigan and in federal court in the
Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan as well as the Northern District of
A native Ann Arborite, Sam is a graduate of Eastern Michigan
University, summa cum laude , and the University of Michigan Law School.
During law school Sam interned with a federal judge in the Eastern District of
Michigan. After law school Sam was the recipient of an MLaw Legal
Practitioner Fellowship and worked in the chambers of the Hon. David Grand,
also in the Eastern District of Michigan. He then worked at a large Detroit law
firm representing Fortune 500 companies in complex litigation. Sam left that
firm in 2019, eager to put his experience to work for the people and small
businesses that make Michigan special.
Sam is very active in the community, serves on the Board of Educate
Youth, and is a member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association and the
Michigan Association of Justice. He lives with his wife, twin sons, “senior” dog and “senior” cat in Ann Arbor.
