Professional Experience

MARGARET J. KRASNOFF concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, probate, estate planning, family law and general civil litigation.  She advises clients in real estate transactions and in disputes involving real property.  She provides property management training, drafts leases and documents tailored to client needs and has represented both landlords and tenants in litigation.   Her estate planning and probate experience include drafting wills, simple trusts and durable powers of attorney, probate estate and trust estate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, and probate litigation.  Margaret’s family law practice focuses on divorce (when child custody is not a primary issue), child support, spousal support, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, parenting time and property settlements with an emphasis on mediation and alternative dispute resolution, when possible, to resolve issues.

Margaret is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and a member and past chair of the State Bar Law Related Education and Public Outreach Committee.  She is a member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association and member of the Public Outreach Committee.  Other current community involvement includes serving on the board of directors of the Michigan Center for Civic Education and serving as treasurer for Theta Corporation-AXO, a local non-profit housing corporation for a national sorority.
